Music Monday: The Blessing

This weekend, I'm singing "The Blessing" at a dear friend's wedding. The first verse of the song comes from the passage Numbers 6:24-26: "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace." I often pray this over my girls at bedtime. 

I like the third bridge that emphasizes God being with us at all times and in all seasons-- morning and evening, coming and going, weeping and rejoicing. A good marriage partner is also with you through all times and seasons, both joyful and difficult.
