Friday Fun-Day: Blue Mound State Park

 Today's Friday Fun-Day is a visit to Blue Mound State Park. At only about 25 minutes from Madison, we were able to fit in a picnic lunch and short walk between our baby's naps. Blue Mound offers great views of the surrounding countryside, and there are two towers at the top for those who would like to see even more. You can bring camping chairs or eat at some of the picnic tables depending on your comfort level. There's also a nice, big playground and bathrooms (pit toilets). 

On Father's Day, Caleb left early with Caroline on his bike and we packed up a lunch and met him there, just in time to take Caroline in the car so Daddy could make it up the giant hill a bit more easily : )

Our picnic spot in early May. There's a huge open field at the top. You can kind of see part of the view... our visits were pre-blog, so not many photos without babies' faces.
