Magical Olbrich Gardens

Magical Olbrich Gardens

Posted by Sarah M. White

Just because it's getting colder out, we won't stop enjoying being outside. At the end of October, we visited Olbrich Gardens for the first time since March. They have been open for a while, but their adjusted hours (12-6 pm) made it difficult for me to go solo during the week. This was the perfect day to get reacquainted with the gardens-- right after a light dusting of snow.

Olbrich is a special place for me because I visited all the time when CG was small. We came every week of her first spring to watch the plants grow and change and to get some fresh air. The gardens are so well-maintained, and the horticulturists are always changing out plants and making creative displays.

There are many different sections of the garden to wander in, and even a Thai pavilion.

Caleb was able to find some blooms in the rose garden.

The outdoor gardens are free and very stroller friendly. There is a small admission fee for the conservatory. If you've never been, check it out!
