Poems to Warm Your Soul: Dear Mother

Today I'm sharing a poetry collection that I adored and read in one gulp: Bunmi Laditan's Dear Mother.

These poems put words to the paradoxes we all inhabit: being so glad when our children are in bed, but then looking at pictures of them all night; wanting to get out of the demanding phase we're in, but knowing that we'll wish we could have it back later; being a rock for others while falling apart.

I laughed out loud and snapped a few pics of poems I want to always remember because they were so encouraging, especially one whose message was to just show up and not worry about being perfect.

There's something for every mom in Dear Mother
