"Sing" by Ellie Holcomb

Ellie Holcomb's "Sing" is one of my new favorite songs. It begins by asking what the first song was and goes through many possibilities like the wind, animals, etc. Then we learn that it was God who sang the first song and he "wrote his song into everything." We hear about the message of God's song. My favorite part is near the end with the lyric: "Every heart and everything was born with a song it was made to sing." This is one of my core beliefs, and I've never heard it expressed so beautifully in a song before. This song checks all the boxes for me as a mom, a Christ-follower, and a singer. Love it.
